Why Consider Counseling or Psychotherapy
Counseling for either yourself, or for you and your partner can be a highly effective way of determining the source of your difficulties and finding practical ways to overcome these difficulties when you "can't see the forest for the trees" because you are just too close to the situation.
It is often possible to find out why your life or relationship is not as happy as it should be (and begin to take steps to change things) in just a few counseling sessions. |
In Person vs On-line Counseling:Many people prefer in-person sessions to on line counseling but there are some circumstances that can make on-line sessions advantageous:
To schedule an appointment for either an in person or a secure videoconference session,** call 303 718 3620 or email me at [email protected]. **Counseling sessions are available for Colorado residents only but Infertility Consulting is available regardless of your location. |
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
There are times in when everything seems to fall apart or the path you are on just doesn't seem to be the way you want to go anymore.
You may be feeling anxious or depressed or just confused about which way to turn. Talking things through with someone who isn't a friend or family member can be extremely helpful at times like this. Together, we will explore the true sources of your discontent and come up with a plan to get you back on the track you want to be on. |
COUPLES COUNSELING
Every relationship has its ups and downs, but when the "downs" outnumber the "ups" its time to consider counseling.
In both individual and joint sessions we will identify the patterns the two of you have fallen into that have led to the dissatisfaction you are experiencing. Then we will work together to change those patterns in order to help you find the love, comfort and connection you once had. |
INFERTILITY CONSULTING
Fertility problems and pregnancy losses create stress that is comparable to a cancer diagnosis. The longer these struggles go on, the more depressed and anxious you can become--and the more difficult it can be to make decisions about whether to pursue donor egg/sperm/embryo; gestational surrogacy; or adoption.
Having worked at major fertility clinics for many years, I can help provide you with the information you need to decide how you want to proceed. I can also provide emotional support and suggestions on how to stay emotionally balanced in this difficult time either in person or via secure videoconferencing. (I also provide psych assessments and reports for egg donors and gestational carriers in accordance with ASRM guidelines for your fertility clinic). |
